Cursor Space for Chrome Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Cursor Space for Chrome Chrome extension (extension ID binamioddebkgapafhckcomlljmagkcp) published on the Chrome Web Store and operated from cursor-space.com.
Cursor Space for Chrome has a single purpose: change cursor. It lets you replace the default mouse pointer with custom and animated cursors on websites you visit.
Summary
- Cursor Space for Chrome does not create user accounts.
- We do not collect your name, email, browsing history, or personal identity through the extension.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers.
- Your cursor selection, size, and other settings are stored locally on your device via Chrome storage.
- Cursor images may be loaded from cursor-space.com CDN so the selected cursor can appear on web pages.
- We do not use remote code.
Data stored locally on your device
Cursor Space for Chrome uses Chrome extension storage to save your preferences on your device so the extension can work after you close the browser. This may include:
- Selected cursor pack or cursor style
- Cursor size and display settings
- Favorites and other in-extension settings needed to apply your chosen cursor
- Basic install metadata such as install date and extension version (used only for local setup)
This information is stored via Chrome storage and unlimitedStorage APIs in your browser. It is not sold, and it is not transferred to third parties for purposes unrelated to changing your mouse cursor.
You can clear this data by resetting the cursor in the extension popup, removing the extension, or clearing extension data in Chrome.
Permissions we request
Cursor Space for Chrome requests only the permissions needed for its single purpose. Below is how each permission is used:
- scripting - injects the scripts required to apply your custom mouse cursor on web pages you visit.
- storage - saves your cursor selection, size, favorites, and other extension settings locally.
- unlimitedStorage - allows enough local storage for cursor settings and related extension data.
- activeTab - applies the selected custom cursor on the active tab when you interact with the extension.
- Host permission - needed so the extension can apply custom cursors on websites you visit. Content scripts run on pages you open so the chosen cursor style can be shown. Custom cursors are not applied on the Chrome Web Store, internal Google pages, or the Chrome New Tab page due to Chrome policy.
Remote code
Cursor Space for Chrome does not use remote code. All extension logic and assets are bundled with the extension package. Cursor images are loaded from our CDN as static image files, not as executable code.
What we do not do
We certify the following disclosures for Cursor Space for Chrome:
- We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, outside of approved use cases required to operate the extension (see Limited Use).
- We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose (changing the mouse cursor).
- We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
- We do not track you across the web for advertising profiles through this extension.
Third-party services
Cursor Space for Chrome may load cursor and preview images from cdn.cursor-space.com. When an image is requested, the CDN may receive a standard web request (for example IP address, user-agent, and the image URL), as with any image loaded from the internet. The extension does not send your browsing history or personal profile to this CDN.
The extension may communicate with cursor-space.com to fetch cursor pack catalogs and related metadata needed to display and apply cursors. This communication is limited to what is required for the extension to function.
The options page may feature promotional materials for other products. Those materials are displayed only on the extension options page and are separate from cursor functionality.
Data we do not collect
Cursor Space for Chrome does not intentionally collect or transmit:
- personal identifiers (name, email, phone)
- account credentials
- payment information
- browsing history or the list of sites you visit
- page content, form inputs, or keystrokes
- precise location
- advertising identifiers for tracking across sites
Chrome Web Store compliance
Cursor Space for Chrome complies with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies and the Chrome Web Store Developer Agreement.
Limited Use disclosure: The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
